Irish Archery Club

Welcome to the Irish Archery Club Info page

The Irish Archery Club was founded in 2007 by Eric Kelly and Robert Clarke. We were a target based club shooting FITA style shoots. Total members in the club are 16 at the moment but growing every month.
We joined IFAF later in 2007 and decided to concentrate all our efforts towards the promotion of Field Archery in Ireland. Since then we have hosted many field shoots in our forest near Edenderry.
We train all our archers to the highest standard possible. All the training is given by Eric who is currently the IFAF appointed coach and one of the TOP SHOTS in Ireland. There is no age too young or to old to start and all the necessary equipment is supplied as part of our six week training course which costs 60 euros. If you decide you like it after that we will give you all the advise on choosing a bow that suits you best. Joining the club as an adult will cost 65 euros which includes your membership of IFAF for insurance purposes. Junior and family membership will cost less.
A good bow and arrows will cost you about 250 euros and should last you a lifetime, Second hand bows are just as good and can be cheaper.

Remember, a bow is only as good as the archer!!!
