A fun, well laid out shoot with some challenging shots. The uphill ram was particularly nasty but balanced out the gift of the very close deer earlier on. The angle of placement of some of the 3-Ds made identifying and hitting the kill zone very dificult; particularly the turkey and the goose with the drooping wing. I understand now why wellies are essential, but after saying that, the steps and ropes made managing the mud possible. A big thank you to everyone involved for providing such an enjoyable shoot. Well done !

We hoped for a large crowd and were delighted to see that no less than 47 archers turned up.... 46 on time!!!
The shoot went well; the course held up despite the mucky damp conditions, and there were still smiles all round by the end of the shoot.
Thanks to all from our club who helped in any way especially Dave who transported the animals and supplied the toilet. Thanks to Eddie for organising the course and to Chris and Martin for marshalling. Thanks also for all the raffle prizes.
And now some notable moments...
Maureen claiming that all she could do all day was hit between the legs, Eric "Sat Nav" Kelly as he was addressed by a fellow archer, Dave Lester's incredible first arrow hit at our long uphill Ibex ram, in front of a vibrant crowd of spectators, And the late arrival of Mark Usher following an unexpected tour of south Wexford and then to cap his eventful day, his bow string snapped not long into his shoot...
A memorable day all round. It was a worthy test for all our new 3d targets.
So a good day out for the last SBG of 2008. Lots to look forward to for 2009...
Thanks to all who turned up.
