There's no doubt that IAC, some members in particular, put in an extraordinary amount of effort to stage their events. To design, draw out, cut out and fix the 24 targets must have been (was) extremely time consuming. OK, so next time we'll avoid using arrows with chunky points and bring along some lubricant ! Yanking out the arrows helped keep the competitors warm.
The rules were open to and received varying degrees of interpretation but not really much concern.
The standard of archery on the day was unfathomable, but considerably better than the standard of some people's driving. Say no mowa!
The awards "ceremony" was unceremonious and thankfully short The number of trophies was small, but the trophies made up for that in size.
The turnout was very good. The refreshments were excellent and the raffle generous.
