A great day for the "New Decade" SBG at Dunbrody.
Lots of work went into improving the course for the new 2010 SBG requirements. Many of our club members had given many
hours of their time to help prepare the woods so it was great to see the January attendance at over 50 people.
It was nice to chat with all our archer friends again.
The day was lovely, (we had expected anything from frost, snow and ice, to rain, winds hurricanes, tornados etc etc) but we were delighted to see a fine pleasant day. The course held up really well for this time of year.
Some people struggled with the increased target distances but others amazed us with their notable performances on the day.
On behalf of the club, i would like to thank my fellow members for all the efforts in the lead up to the shoot... They know who they are... and as P.R.O it was great to see the large amount of photos taken. Maureen, Don, Stephanie, and Brendan jr did absolutely great jobs running the shoot and snapping pics. And congrats to the archers who were shooting in their first ever competition and who done so well.
Hopefully this shoot will help set the standards for the year ahead. Well done all, ... looking forward to the next SBG.

Thank you to all who braved the bitterly cold weather and turned up to our shoot, the first of the new decade! I hope you all enjoyed our course and managed to get some of the cobwebs of winter out. We look forward to seeing you all again soon, hopefully in warmer weather. I'm still trying to thaw out!!
Thanks again.
Don Bradley, Dunbrody
Well done to Maureen and Don and to all the Dunbrody archers for a great day's archery on a nice dry crisp end to January; great craic "as always"; good challenging courses with the new distances on the 3D's
Good start to the 2010 calender looking forward to the next Dunbrody shoot.

What a start to the new season that was!!!
Boys o boys! Was that a cold start to the day or what?
Heading to our allotted target we thought that it would be warmer in the trees than out in the open. Wrong!
Many fingers, toes and tiny noses were ready to drop off but thanks to Liam handing out those "hand warmers"?? Well that's what I used mine for. He really saved the day. BIG THANK YOU! sir.
A fresh new committee and a new reworked course with the new distances made for a very exiting day. Lots of happy faces and even a few not so happy ones returned in at the end of the day all were more than pleased with the new setup including myself. The shoot was spot on and as usual run like a well oiled clock. Well done guys.
Does anyone else think Eddie is getting more evil with his layout? My poor old brain nearly blew a gasket when I saw some of the shots he conjured up. Well done for keeping us on the ball Mr. Man.
Well done Maureen you have a great team and nice to see that big smile of yours. Can't wait for the next one! Well done Dunbrody.
