The sun is shining, the weather is sweet... & life is good; that's how it felt yesterday. It was an absolute pleasure to be up in Loughcrew, again, with bow in hand and the sun on our backs. The course is still as tough as old boots but as beautiful as a ladies silk slipper! The 2D and 3D courses were equally challenging as the lunchtime testimonials served to confirm and it was with some trepidation that us poor archers headed out to try our luck/test our ability on the 'other half' after a quick cuppa and a bite to eat...
Thanks to everyone in the club for putting in the effort required to stage another super shoot. The woods and the course, as always, are a credit to you all.
And, finally, a special congratulations to Clodagh Nolan on getting her first place; 3rd in BHR! Well done, girl!! Welcome to 'Team Dunbrody'... Go Dunbrody!!! ;-)

The Loughcrew gang must have had a direct line to the weather gods this week.. We had a great day's shooting , with warmth and trees showing green buds in brilliant sunshine. Limerick please note..........
Well done to all concerned. We don't take you for granted, but we're really not surprised when your shoots go well.
Thank you.

What is the definition of perfection ???
Loughcrew 11th of April 2010.
This shoot will be remembered for all the right reasons by all the lucky people that had the pleasure to shoot in one of most enjoyable events I have ever shot in.
It had it all, the weather was to die for, the crack was mighty and the course was splendid. It still amazes me how Don and the gang manage to make all the so called hard shots seem easy and the easy ones seem hard. "Trickery me thinks!!! "
The day passed very quickly indeed and I almost wished we could shoot another round. I had great company on the way round the shoot. Big thank you to Jim And Les it was a pleasure shooting with you both.
Some great scores were handed in and quite a few people shot their best scores ever, a great testament to how well the course was laid out.
The raffle was the best laugh ever. Well done for coming up with a cracking idea ( Can I borrow your treasure chest for our next shoot!!!!)
Congrats to you all in Loughcrew for treating us to a fantastic day out and a shoot that was second to none,
Well done and thank you.

Excellent shoot at Loughcrew on Sunday. You'll have to tell everyone how you managed to organise such good weather.
I will kill that crow hiding in the leaves at some stage - although on Sunday I would have been happy if I'd even injured it!
It was a great day out.

Once again, a fantastic day of shooting. The weather was about as good as it gets for shooting. I was surprised that there wasn't a bigger turn out considering the forecast and the location. However, those who were there were treated to a great shoot - run like clockwork by Mr P as ever. I'm not best pleased by the raffle. There was an envelope with €50 in it and I won jelly beans!
Well done to all at Loughcrew.
Chris, Dunbrody
