Well done lads
What a great day, weather held up for you. Some tricky shots but nice. Nice and flat woods; lots of walking. I`m beat today. Have to say had a great time (thanks to my team)
Looking forward to the next shoot.
Lots of luck xx

Much praise must go to Martin, Thomas and everyone who helped with Na Laoch Dall's inaugural shoot. We all had a great day!

The First shoot in a new venue for a new club is always a bit of a challenge!!!!
But not for Na Laoch Dall. Small and all be the membership but it is brimming with years of experience from seasoned archers and it was put to great use as they presented all that turned up with a mind boggling array of shot positions to bend our brains and test our skill. NO GIMMIES ERE , you had to work for every point.
The 3Ds looked perfect in there natural settings with no sign of a back stop, it made the shoot even more exciting and really focused the mind.
The course was splendid with no hills to climb and very easy to navigate which was a godsend considering the amount of rain we had the week before, but the ground was still good and YES it didn't rain at all on Sunday; the sun even came out to greet us for lunch. (Just goes to prove that the weatherman got it wrong once again.) HA!
The shoot ran like clockwork and we all finished around 4.30 ish. There was a great atmosphere all throughout the day and the banter was high with some surprises when the medals were handed out. Congrats to all that got a medal - you earned it.
All in all a great venue, great raffle, welcoming hosts, and great crack. I can't wait for you next installment. Congrats to all involved a job well done.

What a great turnout for our first shoot. The rain was belting down and 39 archers came to shoot anyway. Thankfully the rain stopped before we started.
We wanted to make it an interesting course while sticking to the rules for SBG. Based on the comments during and after the shoot I think most people enjoyed it, and thought that the shots were deceptive. (Or as one person said “sneaky”). But I can list at least one shot that was straightforward. (the fat turkey). And in fairness to us, it’s not our fault that squirrels are small.
Huge thanks go to all those who helped. And thanks also to those who offered to help but were not called upon. We didn’t want to spoil the surprises course :-)
Thanks also to Dunbrody Archers - the shoot would not have been possible without them. It’s one thing to run a shoot without backstops, but it’s a lot harder without targets.
The SBG layout has already been removed and we’re planning a new layout for early next year. It will hopefully be an IFAA Unmarked Animal round. (Some people might be happy that group 5 targets are not allowed)
Thanks again for your support, help and good wishes.
See you at the next shoot.
Thomas and Martin.
Martin (MTB) and Thomas.... well done on your inaugural shoot.
What a sneaky course.... well worth the visit....despite the damp weather the banter was mighty great day was had by all.
